About VS GMT-Master II

Last time, I introduced the GMT-Master II Pepsi from VS Factory in article https://www.susanreviews.com/2025/06/16/vs-factory-gmt-master-pepsi/, I said some advantages of their GMT-Master II when being compared with the one from Clean, but yesterday, I found my opinions are wrong, later I will explain this. Today, I will show you some new GMT-Master II watches which VS factory just published, they include Batman, Pepsi and Sprite, please see pictures below, the oyster bracelet version and jubilee bracelet version available.

The first GMT-Master II Sprite with green dial, only AR and THB made it before, but they use SH3285 movement, if you want the best one, I recommend this one from VS Factory, they use DD3285 movement, and Clean Factory does not make this watch.

Now, back to the thing I mentioned in the first paragraph. When VS Factory firstly published the Pepsi GMT-Master II, I made a short review and thought it is much better than the one made by Clean. Just yesterday, I realized I shouldn’t think this way. In promoting their GMT-Master II, VS indeed claimed their GMT-Master is better than the ones made by other watch makers in the market, a lot of watch distributors also reviewed this watch in the videos to explain what advantages it has in every aspect when being compared with the one from Clean, they said VS GMT-Master II is much better than the one from Clean. Now I do not agree with this view.

First, both GMT-Master II Pepsi watches from Clean and VS are close to the genuine watch. This is what I think right now. Clean uses an older genunine watch to make the replica, while VS uses a newer genuine watch to make the replica, VS said they refer to the designs of the new watch published in 2022. I do not know what are the differences between the old version and new version on the same watch published by Rolex. However, some watch dealers said VS GMT-Master Pepsi is closer to the genuine watch than Clean version, this is totally wrong.

Second, Clean Factory has been making the GMT-Master replicas for years, VS just started to produce them, can VS surpass Clean right from the start? Impossible. Many dealers said the GMT-Master II Pepsi has surpassed the one made by Clean in all aspects, can you believe this nonsense?

Third, just like I said before, to get the DD3285 movement, VS will share part of their DD3235 movements with Clean, now some Datejust watches from Clean factory being equipped with DD3235 movement has appeared in the market, see the pictures of Datejust and movement below. Between Clean and VS, looks like they’ve got some under-the-table deal going on, like saying VS GMT-Master II is better than Clean is allowed in this industry.

RC Day-Date

RC is a new watch maker in the market, currently manufactures good quality replicas of Rolex Day-Date with increased weight.

A lot of factories are making increased weight version of Rolex Day-Date in the market, everyone may have their own opinions when buying such a Day-Date and every factory claims that theirs have no case peel off issue. But as customers, you need to be careful when choosing such a watch because some really have case peeling off problem, some factories are selling such Day-Date watches at too high prices by just adding extra links on the bracelet to increase the weight but their watches still have the issue of case peeling off, I do not want to talk the factory name again, I mentioned it in my article here before. So, be sure to ask for honest opinions from your dealers before making the purchase.

As a new watch maker, how about the quality of the Day-Date from RC? It is good, but will the watch have the issue of case peeling off? I do not know, because their watches just came out, still need time to test.

Not like the latest V5 edition from QF and THB, RC does not add extra links on the bracelet to increase the weight. Also not like CBD, RC does not add height of each link of the bracelet to increase the weight. So, how did they do to increase the weight of the watch? As far as I know, the case back is added with extra weight, which is now up to 28.7 grams, and like GM and QF have done, RC also added the weight on the movement retaining ring, I opened the case back to check, the retaining ring looks much wider. However, doing these two jobs is not enough to increase the weight of the watch to be 209 grams, which is the same as the gen. So, what is their secret?

Like the watches from other factories, the Day-Date from RC also has advantages and shortcomings. Its gold tone looks nice, has a better gold color than the golden Day-Date from other makers. RC claims that you can do gold wrapping on the watch repeatedly, well, this needs to test. On their Day-Date, I also found some shortcomings, for example, on the edge of the hands, you can see burrs, well, this needs to be observed with a magnifier. The edge of the sapphire crystal is not finished as good as that on Clean Rolex. The Week font in the window at 12 o’clock is slightly thinner than that of the genuine. The shape of the Rolex crown emblem base is slightly different from that of the genuine. Well, I do like the sunburst finish on the dial, it looks beautiful.

8+ Factory Rolex Land-Dweller

This watch has come out for some time, Land-Dweller is a new model from Rolex, I know many of you guys have bought this watch from 8+, you know its quality but just wanted to check out how it is finished, right? My opinion? It can not be made to be the same as genuine watch, after all it uses Rolex’s new 7135 movement with a high frequency. Will Clean or VS make this watch? I think they will not make it in a short period, at least they won’t make it in this year. Maybe GM will make it soon with a better dial version, I just guess, but if you want to wait for the version with a super clone movement, will it come out within next three years? I think impossible.

How about the quality of this watch from 8+ Factory? It is made with solid stainless steel, the polishing on the case and bracelet is acceptable, but if you check its dial, you will find too many flaws, the following two pictures, the first one is from genuine watch, the second one is from 8+ Factory. The black printings on 8+ look thinner. The honeycomb motif on the dial of genuine watch looks more three-dimensional, while on the replica, to finish the honeycomb motif, 8+ almost scratched the entire dial, you can clearly see extra grooves between each honeycomb, does the genuine watch have such grooves? I saw it does not have on the picture below. If you’re wearing this watch and sitting face-to-face with your friend, he will know this is a replica watch, a cheap one, because the dial is easy to be identified.

About the movement, it is hard for the movement factory to clone, so 8+ directly uses a Japanese Miyota movement and made modifications on the auto rotor and plates. We can see the polishing on the movement is not too good, it even looks a bit rough. Pull out the crown to the second clicking position, the second hand will stop, rotate the crown counterclockwise to adjust time.

Do not buy this watch from 8+ at this time, there will be a factory that will make replicas with better dial details, just wait.

VS Factory GMT-Master Pepsi

Just in last week, I saw a news saying VS Factory will publish the replica of Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi soon, I thought it was a fake news, you know, some dealers like publishing fake news to attract attention. But the replica watch really just came out. I never thought that VS Factory will participate in the production of replica Rolex GMT-Master II, because Clean has occupied the most watch market, even customers will not choose from Clean, there are also other options such as THB and ARF, besides, the best clone 3285 movement is only used by Clean. However, the news is real, the replica Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi from VS Factory was just published, with the same Dandong 3285 movement as Clean, that’s amazing, it is a good news for the customers, the competition between these two factories will bring you much better replicas watches.

I am very curious about one thing, how did VS Factory get the Dandong 3285 movement? You know, it was only used by Clean before. Is there an agreement between VS and Clean, it is said that Clean will also use the Dandong 3235 movement soon.

The color of the GMT hand is different. The GMT hand on Clean Factory has a darker red than that on VS. VS claims that their GMT hand has a closer red color to that of genuine watch.

On the right watch from Clean, the crystal stands a bit higher than the crystal on the left watch from VS. It looks like Clean has a thicker sapphire crystal. And the crystal on VS has a higher transparency.

I do not know if it is because of the higher transparency on VS watch, the dial printings on VS dial looks whiter than that on Clean watch.

The axis of hands on VS, looks like a cap, and it is solid.

So, which factory does a better hand axis, your opinion? I think VS makes a better one.

However, on the second hand of VS watch, I found burr. I did not find this issue on the hands of Clean watch. Clean has very good polishing on the hands.

On the left, it is VS watch, the right is Clean watch. I noticed that the gap between the crown and case is bigger on VS watch. VS Factory also claims that they make it correct.

About the other parts on the watch, I did not notice difference. Both watches use V3 ceramic bezel, which is the same on VS and Clean. Both factories use the same movement.

Is this the first titanium watch made by Rolex? It is a popular watch and many people have asked if there is a super clone in the market. The first factory that made its replica is EW, several months ago, this factory was shut down, everyone knew the reason. Later a new manufacturer named EWE apppeared, does it have some relationship with EW? Maybe a new factory or still EW. Any way, before Clean, everyone chose this titanium YachtMaster Rolex from EWE. TW+ also made the replica, there are many factories using TW name, such as TWA, TW and TW+, I do not know what is the relationship between them, but they are not involved in manufacutring super clones, they provide cheap to middle quality replicas. For this titanium YachtMaster replica, EWE uses a Hangzhou 3235 movement, which has nearly 72 hours power reserve and is very reliable. The replica from TW+ is equipped with a Shanghai 3235, I am not sure if they are using the updated version released later. But in my memory, the Hangzhou 3235 used by EWE is good.

Back to the titanium YachtMaster 226627 made by Clean, it is fully made with titanium, so the weight is very close to that of genuine watch. With the Clean sticker on the bracelet and plastic cover, the replica has a weight of 109.6 grams, the genuine watch weighs about 107.4 grams. The replica is made with grade 5 titanium, it looks not that bright like stainless steel, this material is very hard, so it is a bit difficult to complete a very good finish on the case and bracelet, but Clean does a job work. Please look at the following pictures, on the enlarged picture of the bracelet, some brushed lines look coarser, but from a viewing distance, this is unnoticeable. On genuine watch, the brushing is also more obvious, but I think every brushed line has the same thickness. I do not think it will be a flaw for this replica watch.

On the bracelet, the engravings on the clasp are correct. But I found one tiny flaw on the clasp when it is closed. Look at the picture, the left metal piece stands slightly taller than the right metal piece, they are on the same horizontal line on the genuine watch. I do not know if all replicas of this watch made by Clean have this flaw, or just the one in my hand.

The case has a thickness of 11.89mm, less than 12mm. The tube of the pin that connects each link of the bracelet uses ceramic material, Clean claims this is also a feature on the genuine watch. The ceramic tube is highly scratch resistant and after a long time of wearing, the links can still locks firmly, you will not feel the bracelet becoming loose.

The movement inside is a SH3235, which is widely used by Clean in the Datejust, it is the new version of SH3235, Clean said it is also 72 hours of power reserve, but I said this is not true in another post. Well, because this movement has also been widely used by other factories, so I think its stability is acceptable.

The bezel insert is black ceramic in matt finish, which is in contrast with the bright polishing on the markers. The matt finish on the genuine is more obvious, while on the replica, it is more refined.

Overall, the finish of the Clean version absolutely better than that of the EWE model, but Clean also has a much higher price. Whether you buy from Clean or EWE, it will be a right decision.

VS Factory New Daytona with Increased Weight

Last time, at https://www.susanreviews.com/2025/03/24/vs-factory-heavy-weight-daytona/, I introduced eight models VS Factory has published, each of them has a heavier weight than the regular versions made by Clean or VS. Perhaps these watches have been widely accepted, otherwise VS Factory will not publish some again in such a short period. Just in last week, VS announced that they will published the V2 weighted version of 11xxxx series Daytona, now these watches are available.

To be honest, Clean Daytona is more popular and Clean occupies the most market share in this field, people are more willing to buy a Daytona from Clean. To get a share of the market, BT tried their best effort but now nearly disappeared when competing with Clean, APS and Gold also made a lot of weighted Daytona watches, but both has lowered down the prices after the release of weighted Daytona from VS. Now, I think the only and biggest competitor for Clean in Daytona is VS.

VS has done two things to catch up with Clean. First, reduce the prices of their Daytona. Second, make the weighted version of Daytona before Clean. I do not know if Clean will make this type of watches in future. The second method I think is more effective.

This Daytona 116519 with grey dial is very hot and is one of the best sellers. Clean has a very high price, VS published the V2 weighted editon of the replica but did not raise the price, the V2 weighted version is even much lower than the one from Clean. The V2 has a weight of 132.9 grams. VS also claimed the case will never have peeling off issue. Check the pictures above, I have compared the dial of VS and Clean, and found the sunburst finish on Clean is more refined, the sunburst finish on VS is more obvious and a bit rough, some reviewers said the sunburst finish on genuine is not like that extremely detailed on Clean, well, I did not have a genuine watch. VS has made a great effort in making the axis of the hands, so I think this is a place better than the Clean Daytona.

The lettering on the dial is much better than before. I do not say they are printings, seem to be not simply printed, these letters stand a bit higher above the main dial.

Now on the case back of these new V2 weighted Daytona from VS, there will be an unqie sticker with factory’s name and an elephant. There is no need to test the accuracy and stability of the movement, it is a reliable clone 4131, otherwise Clean would not change their mind to use this 4131 movement in their products.

I heard that THB is going to publish the 24-hour Le Mans Daytona, or has the watch already come out? I did not find this watch from THB on the internet, maybe still need to wait for several days. Actually this watch company already made this replica Daytona in last year that was sold under the name of “APS”, now APS is selling this watch at a special price. I explained that both APS and THB are the same watch company, why did they decide to make another one? The war in the weighted Rolex is happening. Sometimes such war is good for our watch fans, sometimes not. For example, in the weighted Rolex Day-Date, at the start, GM is the first factory to make the weighted Day-Date, then Q Factory made the Day-Date with weight that is closer to that of genuine, THB Factory also participated in the competition and made the Day-Date with weight that is almost the same as genuine, and then CBD made the Day-Date with the same weight as genuine. From initial similar weight to final same weight, is this really a big progress? I do not think that’s entirely true. THB Factory added too many links on the bracelet to increase the weight, while CBD added the thickness of each link to increase the weight, most clients usually do not need that long bracelet, this is a waste of money because THB charges a high price on the Day-Date. On the CBD Day-Date, the bracelet is too thick, this is not an improvement but is a manufacturing compromise just to gain weight, the wearing comfort is also not good. The same thing also happened on the Le Mans Daytona from Q Factory, this factory has two versions for this Daytona, regular weight and heavy weight, the only difference between them is that the heavy weight version just has a longer bracelet, but Q Factory sells it at a much higher price than the regular weight version, is this a scam our clients should be aware of?

In the market, the golden Day-Date and golden Daytona with increased weight made by most factories have several issues like case peeling off and engravings not good, the watch manufacturers should take this seriously, not just using exaggerated claims in their war to gain customers and orders, while the cost is passed on to us customers.

I think there is a cutthroat competition in these factories, too expensive for the DayDate Rolex from THB, which is even higher than the Daytona from Clean and VS, this is not acceptable.

The case head of this gray Daytona from VS is about 96.2 grams. The case head of genuine watch is about 99.3 grams. Before, VS Factory claimed that the case head has the same weight as genuine, this is not true, genuine watch’s case is still 3 grams heavier, but this is ok for our watch fans, 3-gram weight is negligible.

The rubber band with clasp on the replicas from VS has a weight of 40.5 grams, while on genuine watch, the rubber band with clasp has a weight of about 64.2 grams. So, the weight difference between the replica and genuine lies in the clasp, there is a difference of 23.7 grams. The clasp can only be made with stainless steel on the replica, and VS factory does not add steel sheet inside the rubber.

In the past five years, whether in material, finish or movement, the replica watch industry has made a big huge progress, do you agree?

Today, I will give a brief introduction of the movements used in the super clones. These movements were different from the ones used in the replicas made eight or ten years ago. Now, people are knowledgable in this field, they know every factory, their background and their famous watches models, they also know which movement is more trusted. The movements in the market are usually made by the movement factories in three places of China, which are Dandong, Shanghai and Hangzhou.

First, the movements from Dandong. Too many, there are 4130, 4131, 3235, etc. Many people know this movement factory because of the 4130 movement firstly used by Noob Factory. Now, the 4130 is being used by a lot of factories, including Clean, VS, BT, New Noob. Dandong 4131 is being used by VS and Clean. The Dandong 3235 is only used by VS Factory. Dandong 4130 is the most successful movement developed in replica watches industry, it is also the most stable chrono movement. It seems like every movement from Dandong is very stable, except the 925 and 938.

The two pictures below show the Dandong 3235 movement, also called VS 3235 or Custom VS 3235, it is only used by VS Factory, you can find this movement in their Datejust, 41mm Submariner, Oyster Perpetual, YachtMaster, Sea-Dweller. This is the best clone 3235 movement in the market, known for its high stability and long power reserve that is up to 72 hours.

One movement from Dandong should be avoided, that is the 938, which is equipped by the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Q1372520. This replica is mainly made by two factories, AZ and ZF. Do not buy this watch, this movement will easily have issues during use. Almost every replica of this watch sold by the two factories will have movement issues.

Another movement from Dandong is also not too stable, it is the 925, which is equipped by Jaeger LeCoultre moon phase. This replica is made by APS and ZF, a very popular watch, but its movement is even not as stable as Dandong 7750.

SH3235. Except VS, other factories are all using this movement, for example, Clean uses this movement in their Datejust, 41mm Submariner and Sea-Dweller. This movement’s stability is ok, but the power reserve is around 45 hours. If you want a Submariner from Clean Factory, I do not suggest you buy the 41mm model, the 40mm Submariner with Dandong 3135 movement is a better choice, it is more cost-efficient.

Shanghai 7750. This is not a very good movement, but it is being widely used in the replica watches. In the past, Z Factory random used Shanghai 7750 and Dandong 7750 in their IWC Portuguese Chrono replica watches, people who got the watch with Shanghai 7750 was unlucky because this movement is not stable.

In the last, it will be a movement from Hangzhou. The movement is 72a0, which is being used in the Datejust and YachtMaster of EWE Factory. EWE modified its look to Rolex 3235. This movement is great, its power reserve is up to 60 hours. The Blancpain 50 fathoms from Z Factory also uses this Hangzhou movement.

Last time, in my article “Is it the right time to buy the Le Mans Daytona 126529LN from Clean?”, I said this Clean Le Mans Daytona has a false 24-hour chronograph function, many watch fans said I was wrong, so yesterday night I got another Le Mans Daytona watch from Clean to make a test of its 24-hour chrono again, I pushed the chrono button and let it run for one hour, later, the small hand on the 9:00 subdial came exactly at 1:00, please check the following picture, it is right between 24 and the 2:00 black marker. This means Clean Le Mans Daytona indeed has a real 24-hour chrono. But I did not test for 24 hours.

However, why was the last test result different? The reason may be the movement in last watch is not the latest SH4132, which means very few pieces in last batch may have been mistakenly installed with the old version SH4132 movement. So, if you want to order this Daytona from Clean, before shipping, please ask your supplier to test the chrono to ensure it is a real 24-hour.
