Before the closure of Clean, I said this factory has started to use the DD3235 movement in their Datejust, it is a new DD3235 that has 27 bearing balls, now VS also uses this new DD3235 movement in their Datejust 2, many dealers saying the new DD3235 is much better than the old version when they promoting VS watches, so this brings a problem, which is a lot of customers then insist on buying the watch with that new movement, however, VS factory hasn’t actually used this new movement in every watch, both the old and new movement are randomly used, and both movements have the same quality in my opinion.
The VS Datejust is so hot, some dealers deceive customers by selling them other factories Datejust as VS Factory models, to avoid being scammed, today I will show you a feature of the clasp on VS Datejust to help tell if the watch is from VS.
Please use a magnifier to observe the letter “A” on the engravings of the clasp.
On VS Datejust, the letter “A” in word “GENEVA” and “MADE” has a flat top. The letter “E” in “MADE”, its middle bar is slightly shorter than the top and bottom ones.
On the clasp of the Datejust from other factory, the engravings look somewhat shallow, and the letter “A” has a more pointed top.

A new factory named Clean Plus just appeared in the market, we talked about it before, some people say it is Clean and they are back to the business, some people say it is not the original Clean Factory, so the hottest thing we are discussing about is whether the new Clean Plus is still the same previous Clean Factory. Now Clean Plus has released Datejust, YachtMaster and Daytona, I think they will publish more watches next.
Clean Factory has been closed for a while, people are still looking for Clean watches, I do hope Clean Plus can make the same quality watches as Clean, or even better quality. But after checking the Datejust from Clean Plus, I found their quality is still not the same as that of Clean.
There are two Datejust watches above, the left one is from Clean Plus, the right one is from Clean.
First, check the crystal, it is lower on Clean Plus, while on the right Clean Datejust, the crystal stands a little higher.
Second, the date wheel is different. Check the date font on the left Datejust from Clean Plus, it is a little thicker.
Third, the Rolex Crown logo on the buckle is different, I like the one on the right watch from Clean.
Fourth, the clasp engraving is different. On the top, it is the clasp on Clean. The engraving is bigger and deeper. On the bottom clasp, the letter ‘O’ is more like a digit 0.
Clean Plus uses DD3235 movement, this is good, as far as I know, they also use DD3235 in the Titanium YachtMaster and DD4131 in Daytona.
Conclusion
Clean Plus is not the original Clean Factory. Take the Datejust as an example, some watch parts like date wheel and bracelet on Clean Plus are different from that of Clean. Currently the best option for Datejust is still VS V2.
It is our National Day holiday, which will end on October 8th, but the factories will accept orders after today. Last time, I introduced the GMT-Master II Pepsi from VS Factory in article https://www.susanreviews.com/2025/06/16/vs-factory-gmt-master-pepsi/, I said some advantages of their GMT-Master II when being compared with the one from Clean, but yesterday, I found my opinions are wrong, later I will explain this. Today, I will show you some new GMT-Master II watches which VS factory just published, they include Batman, Pepsi and Sprite, please see pictures below, the oyster bracelet version and jubilee bracelet version available.
The first GMT-Master II Sprite with green dial, only AR and THB made it before, but they use SH3285 movement, if you want the best one, I recommend this one from VS Factory, they use DD3285 movement, and Clean Factory does not make this watch.
Now, back to the thing I mentioned in the first paragraph. When VS Factory firstly published the Pepsi GMT-Master II, I made a short review and thought it is much better than the one made by Clean. Just yesterday, I realized I shouldn’t think this way. In promoting their GMT-Master II, VS indeed claimed their GMT-Master is better than the ones made by other watch makers in the market, a lot of watch distributors also reviewed this watch in the videos to explain what advantages it has in every aspect when being compared with the one from Clean, they said VS GMT-Master II is much better than the one from Clean. Now I do not agree with this view.
First, both GMT-Master II Pepsi watches from Clean and VS are close to the genuine watch. This is what I think right now. Clean uses an older genunine watch to make the replica, while VS uses a newer genuine watch to make the replica, VS said they refer to the designs of the new watch published in 2022. I do not know what are the differences between the old version and new version on the same watch published by Rolex. However, some watch dealers said VS GMT-Master Pepsi is closer to the genuine watch than Clean version, this is totally wrong.
Second, Clean Factory has been making the GMT-Master replicas for years, VS just started to produce them, can VS surpass Clean right from the start? Impossible. Many dealers said the GMT-Master II Pepsi has surpassed the one made by Clean in all aspects, can you believe this nonsense?
Third, just like I said before, to get the DD3285 movement, VS will share part of their DD3235 movements with Clean, now some Datejust watches from Clean factory being equipped with DD3235 movement has appeared in the market, see the pictures of Datejust and movement below. Between Clean and VS, looks like they’ve got some under-the-table deal going on, like saying VS GMT-Master II is better than Clean is allowed in this industry.
2024 is an important year both for our watch makers and watch fans, we welcomed a lot of new models that have been made with breakthrough watch-making technology. The absolute protagonists in last year are VS and APS, we do not deny that Clean still occupies the largest market share in Rolex field, but VS has already caught up, and APS indeed brought us many surprises. Hope they can release more super clones in future.
1.Clean Factory V3 GMT-Master II Pepsi
For this GMT-Master II Pepsi, it has been improved by Clean Factory for two times, now the latest version is V3. There are a lot of other watches that were also sold very well in the market, especially Rolex watches, there are too many, Submariner, Datejust, Daytona, they can even make a top 10 or top 20, every Rolex coming from VS and Clean should be a super clone, no doubt about this. I also heard that GM is actually operated by BP, do you know this factory? BP is one of the oldest watch makers in this industry, they only made affordable Rolex replicas in the past, now the Day-Date offered under their GM and QF is helping them to open up another market.
