There are many rumors in the replica watch market every day, especially on Telegram. There are a lot of dealers there, and they post frequently, but more than half of what they say is either false or misleading.
This is especially common when a factory shuts down. Soon afterward, you often see new factory names appearing and claiming to be the “revival” of the old factory.
For example, after Clean Factory closed, Clean Plus, Gold, RC, and V all claimed at some point that they were connected to the original Clean Factory. Some of these factories did indeed use certain Clean parts, but among them, Clean Plus was probably the least related to the original Clean Factory.
Do you still remember V7 Factory?
V7 was previously known for producing IWC replicas, and it was widely regarded in the industry as one of the best factories for IWC watches. It has been closed for some time, which is why many people still miss its version of the IWC Ingenieur.
Some time ago, a new factory called MZ released the IWC Ingenieur and claimed that its quality was the same as V7’s. In reality, there are still differences between the two.
A few days ago, many people started saying that V7 had changed its name to A7. I do not know whether this is true or not. We will have to see the quality of the watches it releases later.
Another rumor concerns APS Factory.
Although APS has already closed, many people say that the newly appeared OCTA Factory is actually the former APS Factory.
At the moment, OCTA has released several Audemars Piguet models, including the 15407, 15500, 15510, 26240, and 26331.
I previously examined OCTA’s 15510. There are some differences compared with the APS version, but the overall quality is still quite good. In terms of craftsmanship, you can see some traces of APS, and it is possible that certain components are still sourced from suppliers that previously worked with APS.
However, the sunburst finishing on OCTA’s Audemars Piguet dials is still not as good as what APS used to produce.
