OR Factory Seamaster Free-Sprung 8806

On my blog, I have introduced several stories about OR Factory, from its closure to re-opening, now they must be planning a big thing, with the release of new free sprung 8800/8806 movement, they want to occupy the entire market of the replica Omega Seamaster.

OR Factory announced that they will develop the 8800/8806 movement in the middle July, now the actual watches just came out, the regular Seamaster 300m models use free-sprung 8800 movement, while the Seamaster No Time to Die and Bronze Gold use free-sprung 8806 movement. Both movements have the same structure, only the engraved movement number is different.

Omega Bronze Gold Green Seamaster Replica vs Genuine

The two watches, guess which one is genuine, which one is the replica. You guys must have watched the comparison videos reviews between the two watches on the internet, yes, this time we can see the ambition of OR Factory, they really want to beat VS factory and become the boss in the replica Seamaster field. They lent this genuine green Seamaster to many dealers to make the “genuine vs replica comparison review”, but many dealers said this replica is perfect and has no difference with the genuine, that’s not true.

There is a difference in the center pin. On the genuine one, the tip of the center pin is very well concealed and barely noticeable, whereas on this OR Seamaster, the tip of the center pin protrudes and is clearly visible.

On the replica, the tip of the second hand has a brighter color.

The precious metal stamp at 12 o’clock on the case. It looks more refined,clean and neat on the genuine watch.

The comparison on the case back letterings, it is much thinner on the genuine watch.

The case back has the same weight on the genuine and replica, which is 10.6 grams.

There must be other differences that are not included before,but next we see the movement difference.

On genuine 8806 movement, there are “OMEGA” and its logo as well as Si letterings that are engraved on the balance wheel, please see the movement picture above, I marked them with red arrow.

While on the replica, you can see there are no engravings on the balance wheel like the genuine. By the way, although OR Factory added two weights on the balance, but the surface of the weight is smooth, on the genuine, the weight surface is fluted.

Besides the weight, another place I marked with red arrow on the replica movement is also different, it is protruded, while on the genuine, it is flat or looks a bit sunken.

A783616 on Genuine — On genuine, the A783616 is deeply engraved and thick.

A533636 on Replica — On replica, the A533636 is printed.

At last, use a Timegrapher to show the specification of both movements.

First, it is the genuine Omega 8806 movement, with a frequency of 25200.

Next, it is the replica 8806 movement from OR.

Replica 8806, the two screws are silver, while on genuine, they are in blued steel.

And the frequency of the replica 8806 movement is 28800.

My conclusion

If you have a genuine and compare it with this replica side by side, you can find many differences. Here I could not include all differences in this post. Since this Omega Seamaster has a see-through case back, I think the replica from OR Factory will look closer to genuine than the one from VS Factory.

It has been a long time since I saw a watch this attractive. Rolex still clearly knows what it is doing when it comes to design. Now I’m really looking forward to seeing which factory will be the first to release a replica of the new Yacht-Master Rolex introduced in 2026.

Compared with the new Panerai PAM1698 that VS just released, this Oyster Perpetual looks much more appealing to me. VS’s release of the Panerai PAM1698 feels more like something they simply had to get out of the way.

But this 100th-anniversary Oyster Perpetual feels completely different. With so many factories recently flooding the market with new free-sprung movements, VS releasing this watch almost feels like a statement to the entire replica watch industry: I’m still the boss when it comes to Rolex.

VS Factory equips this watch with the DD3230 movement. One thing worth noting is that this should already be the third version of the movement.

I remember that a few years ago, when VS first released its super clone version of the 41mm Oyster Perpetual, it simply used the DD3235 movement, which meant the movement plate was still engraved with “3235.”

Later, VS developed a proper 3230 movement by removing the date mechanism. As a result, there is no longer an unused date-setting position when operating the crown, making its crown operation much closer to that of the genuine Rolex 3230 movement. Unscrew the crown to wind the watch, then pull the crown out to the first click to adjust the time directly.

It is also worth mentioning that this is the third-generation DD3230 movement. One of the main upgrades is the auto rotor, which now uses a bearing system with 27 ball bearings.

I really do not understand why these factories keep obsessing over this watch, and I also do not understand why anyone would like it. If you told me you liked the Richard Mille RM 35-01, RM 35-02, or RM 055, I could understand that, because at least they still look like actual watches and do not feel quite so much like toys.

But I honestly cannot understand the appeal of the RM 67-02. With that kind of dial and an elastic fabric strap, it looks more like a children’s toy watch. I would rather wear a G-Shock.

That said, I have never handled a genuine RM 67-02. Perhaps the quality, finishing, and overall feel of the original are much better than those of the replica.

At first, this watch was only available as a custom-modified piece. Now, when people talk about factories or workshops making the RM 67-02, the two names most people are familiar with are U mi and AV.

U mi is actually a pretty interesting modification workshop. Its previous RM 67-02 and rose gold Patek Philippe 5712 were both extremely expensive, but the watches themselves were far from perfect. In my opinion, they offered very poor value for money.

This new RM 67-02 comes from Rich Factory, which should be the same Rich Factory that previously released the Rolex GMT-Master II with the free-sprung 3285 movement.

According to the factory, this watch uses a true super clone RM.CRMA7 movement, and both the movement thickness and the overall case thickness have been made to match the genuine watch. The movement is said to be 3.99 mm thick, while the case measures 7.8 mm. When viewed from either the front or the back, all the visible gears are functional and move as they should.

The factory also claims that the carbon fiber pattern perfectly recreates the high-end texture of the NTPT carbon material made in Japan for the RM 67-02. It even says that the eight screws on the case are interchangeable with those used on the genuine watch.

The factory’s advertising certainly sounds impressive, but it is simply impossible for this replica to be completely perfect.

Key Features:

From both the front and the back, the movement has a very high degree of skeletonization.

The thickness is very close and similar to the genuine.

Carbon case is good quality, super.

When you wind the watch, you can see the gears around the mainspring barrel moving. When setting the time, you can also see some of the moving components through the front of the watch.

Shortcomings:

The skeletonized bridges on the dial do not have beveled edges.

At the two areas indicated by the red arrows, there are two noticeable differences.

First, the gold-colored component is not gold on the genuine watch.

Second, the rose red jewel is white on the genuine watch, and it is also slightly larger.
